On Tuesday May 6th 2008 our Beautiful Healthy little girl arrived into this world. She decided to make her grand entrance at 11:29 a.m. weighing 8 lbs. 10 oz. and 22 in. long! Contractions started at about 2:30 that morning and by 5:00 we were off to hospital, both so excited knowing that after all this waiting and anticipation, it was finally happening, and on her exact due date, imagine that!! It was so crazy the love that I felt for this tiny little girl, the moment she was born. Right when I felt that last push and her coming out, I was so overcome with emotion, You always hear how much love a mother/ father has for their children- I never knew what that really felt like until that moment at the hospital! Nothing else mattered... I felt like everything was a bit hectic right after, but I honestly zoned myself out and just listened to that sweet cry. Larry stayed right by my side, and just held my hand... what an amazing man he is! My love grew so much stronger for him at that moment, and is continuing to grow more and more as I watch him with Brenley, and as he takes care of me while I am healing getting back to my full self.
I had the opportunity to be able to have a FULL delivery room during her birth. Some of you may think that is weird, and I totally understand, because I wasn't sure what I thought about others being in the room as well. When the time came down to getting ready to push, I had my mom, my Aunt Jean, Larry's mom, and Larry's dad in the room, and the nurse said, ok, who do you want in the room? And I felt totally fine with everyone being in there, maybe thats weird, maybe not, but I decided, Why not? It is such a neat expierience, and why not share it with them as well? Yeah, I made Greg (Larry's dad) stand behind me, he said he watched the monitors the whole time :) my mom and Larry helped me hold my legs and Barb and my Aunt Jean were being so supportive and "rooting me on"! All in all it was an amazing time and as I look back I wouldn't change a bit (well, maybe I would have my sis dad there, but he was at a meeting for work and was hurrying as fast as he could to get to the hospital... he arrived right after she was born, so he didn't miss much, and my sis was on a field trip with her little Cortney at Thanksgiving Point).
All in all it was a great Day/Delivery. We are just home now trying to adjust to life with a new family member. I am so grateful that everything went so well and she is so healthy! Thanks to all who have been so good to us and all the fun visitors! What an amazing Mothers Day Gift I have gotten!
