are you ready?
dream date for a guy is so easy: do something he likes and sincerly be into it. i.e. my husband likes outdoorsy things so for his dream date it would include rock climbing and being totally happy the whole time, then going offroading and being totally tough and driving the hard parts and not making funny woman sounds when i am scared and then going to an amazing restaurant that you chose for him becuase even though you hate seafood, he loves it and you can always get chicken. then you go home, rent a guy movie, wear something slinky while watching thus said man movie and then being all over him at the end becuase he is just 'that kind of man'. woohoo! men are easy that way.
now for me? geez, i'm totally awful at knowing what i do like. i'm so easy at knowing what i don't like. isn't that horrible? but i do think abe picked up the perfect date gift for my 21st birthday. he got his sister to babysit and we drove downtown where we checked into an amazing B&B and then went to michaelangelo's for dinner (never been there? voted most romantic restaurant in salt lake a few years ago - completely authentic italian food). then went to the hotel and watched the opening ceremonies of olympics and then we woke up (reminiscent of the breaking down wedding night wouldn't you say?) then we went to buy me one outift. i hate shopping with a passion but he knew how much i hated all of my clothes so he forced me to the mall. then we ate lunch at a lovely little number called pf changs.
another amazing date we had was in seattle where we went downtown, toured around pike place and all things fabulous there and then road a ferry across to bainbridge island, had lunch and came back. so relaxed, so just us.
sorry for the length. do i win?

I totally agree with Noelle on the guy date--do something he absolutely loves to do and this is the most important thing---Be happy the whole time. Like--going shooting at the gun range, (men love to see women with weapons--I have no idea why, they just do)followed by a four wheel ride up the canyon--particularly in the fall-pre-hunting season where he can scope out the wildlife and the tracks you may happen to come across. Then -- this is important--men need to eat meat! No pasta, no chinese, no deli--I'm talking about a huge 32 oz side of beef complete with baked potatoe with all the fixins. then plan on a rendevoux between the sheets. That would be Russell's favorite date. Another idea would be a day skiing followed by a hot tub excursion and all the hoopla that comes after. Maybe a rent or borrow a motorcycle and go for a ride. Camping, hunting, fishing, Go to a guy movie--shootem up, bloody, action-packed and everything. Does this help??
